I find it helpful to review God’s promises
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you. (Psalms 9:10 NLT)
Be gentle to all
Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. (Colossians 3:13, ESV)
Acknowledging God’s goodness

That’s the time to try again

Replacing it with trust in God
Submit to God, and you will have peace; then things will go well for you. (Job 22:21 NLT)
God’s love is unfathomable
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8 NIV)
We don’t always realize how
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord, who is the Spirit, makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. (2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT)
It provides a fire in your soul
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. (1 Peter 5:7 NLT)
That’s My plan for giving
A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24)
Using our God-given wisdom
We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. (Proverbs 16:9 NLT)
It will make you happier
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up. (1 Thessalonians 5:11 ESV)
I am peace and calm
Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. (John 14:1)
Becoming more like Him
As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy”. (1 Peter 1:14-16 ESV)
After all is said and done
A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls. (Proverbs 25:28 NLT)
A chain reaction
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. (Colossians 3:12 NLT)
The quality of our words
It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person. (Matthew 15:11 ESV)
In the blink of an eye
Do not work for food that perishes but for food that lasts for eternal life. (John 6:27 NIV)
Stand up for what is right
Control your temper, for anger labels you a fool. (Ecclesiastes 7:9 NLT)
God is the judge
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. (John 7:24 KJV)
